Our School

Maplewood Elementary is a diverse community school that honors education and learning experiences, empowering our scholars to be lifelong learners. Maplewood will create a safe and welcoming environment for our community to foster and encourage an educational haven while striving to support the holistic needs of all.

Beliefs

  • We believe that our community includes scholars, staff, families, and business partners.
  • We believe in celebrating the diversity of our community.
  • We believe every child has the ability to learn and a right to education in order to reach their full potential.
  • We believe that each child has a right to succeed in their own way and to contribute to society to become productive citizens.

Maplewood Elementary takes its name from the residential subdivision in which the school is located. Maplewood was originally an elementary school.  In 1974, Maplewood became a middle school.  In 2010, Maplewood once again became an elementary school when two elementary schools merged.
